Non-exclusive License

What is a Non-Exclusive license?

Imagine you've found one of my designs that you absolutely love. With a non-exclusive license, you're free to have this design brought to life by your preferred printer and then sell the final product in a specific market niche for a set period, such as one or two years.

Things to Keep in Mind:

Shared Usage: The nature of a non-exclusive license means the same design might be shared with other brands too, under a similar non-exclusive agreement.
Availability on POD sites: The design will also continue to be available on platforms like Spoonflower. This means anyone can buy it to print on fabric, wallpaper, or other items.

Exclusive License

What is an Exclusive license?

An exclusive license grants you, and only you, the rights to use my surface designs to create and sell products within a specified domain—be it wallpaper, baby's clothing, or women's apparel—and within a designated territory, like a certain country. This agreement ensures you have unique access to apply my designs in your chosen category and region, setting your offerings apart in the marketplace.

As the creative behind the work, I retain the right to use the design for projects outside the scope of our agreement. For instance, if you hold exclusive rights to use a design for wallpaper in the UK, I remain free to license the same design for wallpaper in Australia or even adapt it for different uses, such as fashion lines, including children's and women's apparel. Under this arrangement, the design will be removed from your licensed category on POD (Print-on-demand) sites such as Spoonflower.

When our agreement nears its end, you'll have the first dibs on continuing our partnership with the design. If you choose to move on, the design will become available for open-access licensing in that category.

Copyright Ownership

The Creative Rights Stay with Me:

As the artist behind the designs, I always retain copyright and ownership of the original artwork and any creations that stem from it. This includes all forms of derivative work, ensuring the original creativity and its iterations remain under my guardianship.
